If I were to ask for a show of hands on how people have used the Internet in the past seven days, it would reveal some very interesting data. A small percentage of people would say they participated in some form of online entertainment. A greater number would confirm they had interacted on a chat room or message board. Still more would raise their hands when asked if they did any online shopping.
But the greatest number of hands would go up were I to ask how many people used the Internet to search for information. That’s because the web is the greatest source of information in the world! We have become accustomed to Googling for our answers. Just recently I found an important tutorial on how to fix the kitchen sink’s garbage disposal. (Yes, I did it all by myself.)
Knowledge is power and information makes the world go ‘round. And where there is power, there is money. People will pay top dollar for information, especially if they are able to access it immediately. It’s that sense of instant gratification!
I’ve made a lot of money selling information products. When people discovered that I had information that would help them make money with their web sites, they were all too happy to exchange their money for my information. And of course, they weren’t disappointed with their investment.
